摘要: Objectives. Hoping to increase hepatitis B (HB) vaccination of adolescents, we did the following: 1) studied if modified regimens recombinant HB vaccine, Recombivax (2 or 3 doses 5 10 μg given over 4 6 months), induce protective anti-hepatitis surface antibody [anti-HBsAb] levels (≥10 mIU/mL) comparable recommended regimen (5 at 0 and 1, months); 2) measured early response after a single dose; 3) assessed immunologic memory 2- 3-dose regimens. Design. One thousand twenty-six adolescents were randomized 1 treatment groups (10 months; 0, 2, months) in an open trial. Anti-HBsAb was all participants just before month last dose, several other times subset vaccinees. booster dose 2 years later examined assess vaccinated with months. Results. All induced ≥10 mIU/mL anti-HBs ≥95% Geometric mean titers ranged from 674.8 3049.4 mIU/mL. higher using versus μg; doses; intervals After months, 63.8% vaccinees one 10-μg had anti-HBsAb 41.6% 5-μg dose. Participants either two three retained robust memory. Conclusions. The results this study show that 2-dose is as immunogenic induces effectively regimen. A may be significant benefit for who are poorly compliant deviate intended schedule.
