Circulating cell-free microRNAs as clinical cancer biomarkers.

摘要: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are non-coding small RNAs that master regulators of genic expression and consequently many cellular processes. But their is often deregulated in human tumors leading to cancer development. Recently miRNAs were discovered body fluids (serum, plasma others) levels have been reported be altered patients. Circulating became one the most promising biomarkers oncology for early diagnosis, prognosis therapeutic response prediction. Here we describe origins roles miRNAs, summarize recent studies focusing on usefulness as lung, breast, colon, prostate, ovary cancers melanoma. Lastly, main methodologies related miRNA detection, which should standardized use clinical practice.
