摘要: Glial cells are derived from stem that mature through specific stages of development to generate fully differentiated astrocytes and oligodendrocytes. Several types intermediate precursors have been described in some cases lineage relationships identified although this remains a subject controversy. We review recent findings discuss possibilities. Motoneuron-oligodendrocyte (MNOPs), white matter progenitor (WMPCs), polydendrocytes, glial restricted (GRPs), astrocyte precursor (APCs), oligodendroblasts likely all earlier appearing but segregate at different development. Some these persist the adult, it is progenitors rather than respond after injury participate repair process. Although which responds unclear, availability new markers will resolve issue. believe consensus sets an improvement our ability define maturation lead clearer appreciation importance glia etiopathology disease.
