摘要: Transition metal species play an important role in oxidative halogenation of alkenes, leading to halogenated compounds.1 Certain oxo-metal compounds, e.g. CrO2Cl2, VOCl3, MOCl5 and SbCl5, are advantageous for this type halogenation. Chromyl chloride (CrO2Cl2), especially, reacts unique ways with which its oxygen halogen atoms transfer. The reaction proceeds via initial attack at the center. On other hand, molecular halogens halide salts, when combined oxidizing agents such as CrO3, Cu(OAc)2 Pb(OAc)4, capable converting alkenes halohydrins α-halo ketones. Manganese(III) iron(III) reagents also beneficial through a radical process.
