摘要: A method of preventing necrotizing tissue injury in gastro-intestinal tract comprising orally administering glutamine is described. Glutamine protects tissues along the by blocking translocation bacterial agents (such as gram (-) bacteria), other infectious agents, toxins, chemicals, and injurious substances. The intraluminal/apical presence optimizes mucosal defense increases nutrient absorption. may be administered to pre-term or full-term infants, children adults. Enteral useful treating neonatal enterocolitis for reducing inflammation caused injury. Oral also dysfunctions. When it coats mucosa thereby and/or inflammatory conditions tract. It pathologic with lowered transepithelial electrical resistance (TEER) acting a curative agent. provided any form such powder, capsules, acid-resistant slow-release microcapsules, reconstituted liquid like. mixture. Other drugs treatment glutamine. administrable via naso-gastric tube, especially preterm infants.
