Repair of ascending aortic dissection. Influence of associated aortic valve insufficiency on early and late results.

摘要: Operative treatment of dissections the ascending aorta differs from that for descending aorta, not only because need cardiopulmonary bypass, but also frequent occurrence aortic valve insufficiency. To determine early and late results operative repair, we have reviewed case histories 121 consecutive patients who underwent repair between 1962 1985. Ages ranged 16 to 79 years (mean 56 ± 14 years); 54 had operation within 2 weeks onset symptoms (acute), remainder later (chronic). Seventy (58%) clinical evidence insufficiency at time admission.
