摘要: Dual photon absorptiometry using 153 Gd in a whole-body scanner was used to measure lean body mass (LBM) 51 newborn infants. LBM% decreased exponentially with increasing gestational age both small for (SGA) and appropriate (AGA) In preterm SGA AGA infants LBM 104% 103%, respectively, indicating that no fat detectable. term 98%, which corresponded 48 gm on average, 87%, 452 average. The LBM%, ponderal index, skinfold thickness were significantly different between Infants clinical signs of intrauterine wastage had higher than did without weight loss. Our results by dual agree earlier dissection data; the clinically applicable methods (1) height combined (i.e., index), (2) thickness, (3) scoring observations are useful estimation lack as an indicator growth retardation.
