摘要: The sorption and degradation of dissolved organic matter (DOM) 13 micropollutants (BTEX, aromatic hydrocarbons, chloro-aromatic -aliphatic compounds, pesticides) in acetogenic methanogenic landfill leachate was studied laboratory columns containing Triassic sandstone aquifer materials from the English Midlands. Solute relationships were evaluated using a simple transport model. Relative to predictions, micropollutant decreased up eightfold leachate, but increased sixfold leachate. This behaviour reflects combination interactions between micropollutants, DOM mineral fraction. Sorption not significant. Degradation fractions occurred under Mn-reducing SO4-reducing conditions. some exclusively benzene significantly degraded conditions time span (up 280 days) experiments. Most immediately or after lag phase (32–115 days). Micropollutant rates varied considerably (half-lives 8 >2000 for same compounds (e.g., TeCE) different experiments, naphthalene, DCB TeCA) within experiment. many both simultaneous sequential, inhibited by utilisation substrates. mechanism, with phases, controls potential these systems more than rate.
