PRIMARY CARCINOMA OF THE TRACHEA

摘要: Although malignant tumors of the larynx are frequently encountered, primary carcinoma trachea is rare. Moreover, in majority cases, such lesions not recognized until they so far advanced that treatment little, if any, avail. Lesions occur upper portion accessible surgically, and offer a good chance cure, providing an early diagnosis established. Even growths this situation often produce syndrome sufficiently characteristic to direct attention alert laryngologist or bronchoscopist region, with careful investigation lesion should be recognized. Few cases trachea, which patients have remained well for more than year, recorded literature. Such case, together four others presenting structure, seen Mayo Clinic, reported herewith.
