摘要: OBJECTIVES This paper outlines a new method of teaching health informatics to large numbers students from around the world through Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). METHODS The Health Informatics Forum is social networking site for educating and professionals [corrected]. It running MOOC that uses creative commons licenced content funded by US government developed five universities. delivered narrated lectures with slides can be viewed online discussion threads on forum class interactions. Students maintain professional profile, upload photos files, write their own blog posts post forum. RESULTS has been accessed 11,316 unique users 127 countries August 2, 2012 January 24, 2014. Most via desktop computer, followed tablets mobile devices 55% were female. Over 400,000 have now wider since it was established in 2008. CONCLUSIONS Advances educational technology both created demand learning material solution providing it. By using platform hoped high quality education will able global audience future informaticians without cost.
