摘要: A dataset including daily- and monthly-mean turbulent fluxes (momentum, latent heat, sensible heat) some relevant parameters over global oceans, derived from the Special Sensor Microwave/Imager (SSM/I) data, for period July 1987-December 1994 1988-94 annual climatologies of same variables is created. It has a spatial resolution 2.0deg x 2.5deg latitude-longitude. The retrieved surface air humidity found to be generally accurate as compared collocated radiosonde observations oceans. wind stress heat flux show useful accuracy verified against research quality measurements ship buoy in western equatorial Pacific. seasonal-mean reasonable patterns related seasonal variations atmospheric general circulation. 1990-93 annual-mean input are good agreement with one best analyzed datasets that based on COADS (comprehensive ocean-atmosphere data set) corrections speeds covered period. speed within +/-1 m/s COADS-based, but stronger by approx. 1-2 northern extratropical discrepancy suggested mainly due higher COADS-modified resulting underestimation anemometer heights. Compared sea-air difference larger significant differences trade zones ocean south 40degS (up 40-60 W/sq m 1-1.5 g/kg). believed caused COADS-based arising overestimation dew point temperatures extrapolation observed high southward into data-void regions 40degS. +/-5 UWM/COADS, except areas where have large impact flux.
