摘要: Abstract Thalassemia is a common congenital hemolytic anemia in the South Asian subcontinent. This disease associated with multiple complications, which accumulate as age of patient progresses. Extramedullary hematopoiesis (EMH) compensatory physiological mechanism for chronic anemia. EMH can occur different parts body and present varied imaging features, some may be misleading. We here describe case 22-year-old male thalassemia who presented paracardiac lobulated masses on chest X-ray. They were thought to lung tumors; however, subsequent computed tomography scan thorax showed typical features involving vertebrae, ribs sternum. The was assured about appearance Imaging has been discussed detail.
