摘要: Warfarin currently is the most widely used agent in prevention of thrombosis and embolism after prosthetic cardiac valve replacement. Since smoking has been shown to increase requirement for medications undergoing hepatic metabolism, this study was designed determine if a correlation exists between history warfarin daily maintenance dose (DMD) patients Of 200 charts retrospectively reviewed at New England Medical Center, 174 satisfied criteria inclusion (normal hepatic, renal, hematologic function, absence complicating medications).
