摘要: The use of colloidal semiconductors as light harvesting units in photocatalytic reactions is discussed. A survey the optical and electronic properties small semiconductor particles followed by discussion heterogeneous charge transfer induced light. Application time resolved laser techniques allows to unravel salient kinetic features important redox reactions, such recombination electron-hole pairs spectral sensitization wide band gap materials. In latter process very high energy conversion efficiencies are achieved when sensitiser used conjunction with a polycrystalline thin film electrode prepared sol gel process.
