摘要: Ferromanganese nodules, crusts, and phosphatic substrates were recovered during two cruises of the R/V Moana Wave to Cook Islands, Kiribati, Tuvalu. We report geochemistry mineralogy ferromanganese crusts seamount nodules only. Samples collected from flanks, gentle slopes, nearly flat summits; absent steeper slopes. Cobalt, metal highest commercial interest, ranges between 0.19% 1.90% by weight in deposits consisting stains less than one millimeter a maximum 12 cm thick. The Co dredge averages 1.72% 1.30% found’ near Vaitupu Enderbury islands respectively. Most Manihiki Plateau centimeter thick exhibited low values contrast those region mud volcanoes on plateau which concentrations averaged 1.0%. Copper Ni ranged 0.05% 0.14% 0.89%
