摘要: Epidermodysplasia verruciformis (EV) is a rare disease, characterized by cutaneous warts and associated with strong predisposition to β-genus human papillomavirus (HPV). Earlier studies reported high copy numbers of HPV-DNA in nearly all skin tumors from EV patients, but neither HPV replication status non-lesional nor anti-HPV seroreactivity these patients have been yet. We therefore performed comprehensive viral load analysis for the more common β-HPV types on samples plucked eyebrow hairs four treated at our dermatology department. The results clearly demonstrate that they carry multiplicity (up eighteen types) genotypes both sites. Worthy note, intrapatient concordance specific between hair bulbs biopsies was observed same β-PV profile maintained over time. Viral revealed range less than one per 100 cells 400 copies cell proliferative lesions. Evaluation antibodies against 16 were significantly prevalent showed higher titers controls.
