摘要: An approach to the surgical management of eyes with concomitant cataract and glaucoma is outlined, author's experience in 73 consecutive cases described. Cataract extraction alone recommended when glaucomatous damage minimal, intraocular pressure controlled a low-dose, well-tolerated medical regimen. When uncontrolled on maximum tolerable therapy poses an immediate threat vision, two-stage procedure filtering surgery subsequent preferred. Between these two extremes control are those for which combined operation felt be indicated, especially planned eye borderline and/or moderate advanced damage.
