Susceptibility of common alder (Alnus glutinosa) seeds and seedlings to Phytophthora alni and other Phytophthora species.

摘要: Phytophthora alni is a highly destructive host specific pathogen to alders ( Alnus spp.) spreading all over Europe. Recently this has been reported cause diseases in common alder (Alnus glutinosa) Spain. Seeds and seedlings of A. glutinosa were tested vitro for their susceptibility other species. Isolates P. ssp. alni, cinnamomi, citrophthora, nicotianae palmivora used the experiments. inoculated with zoospore suspension uniform mycelial blocks agar Susceptibility was calculated terms virulence on seed germination seedling mortality 42 67 days after inoculation respectively. Seed rates varied differently among isolates used. Results implied that its seeds are at risk be infected by alni. In addition, species able infect kind material showing relative non-specificity. This one important finding concerning regeneration areas, possibility disease spread plant material.
