摘要: The Bacille Calmette-Guerin vaccination (BCG) contributed widely to reduce tuberculosis incidence in developing countries. aim of this report was assess the clinical "spectrum" and outcome tuberculous meningitis 16 Calmette-Guerin-vaccinated Tunisian children. They were 9 boys 7 girls aged 2 168 months (median 72 ± 65.88). Patients presented mainly with nonspecific symptoms. Neurologic severity classified as grade I (n = 6) II or III 10). At short-term course, majority patients developed serious complications: hydrocephalus 12), seizures 8), tuberculoma 6), acute respiratory failure 2). Three died. Among survivors, 4 showed a complete recovery while permanent sequelae which mild severe 3). Despite vaccination, remains life-threatening condition; vaccinated children have shown common presentation terms poor outcome.
