摘要: Abstract The influence of YB4 and Y2O3 on densification, mechanical properties oxidation performance ZrB2-SiC (ZS) composite was studied. tests were performed in static air up to temperature 1650 °C for 1 h as well under dynamic conditions oxyacetylene torch at 2000 °C. Static ZS led the formation protective silica-based glass surface. However, ablation showed absence silica centre. Only dense zirconia layer left top ZS. Composites with Y-containing additives exhibited significantly inferior conditions, since severe spallation deeper degradation material observed. On contrary, depth after comparable Samples covered by solid solution yttria. Due very low vapor pressure, yttria-based products are interest considering even higher application temperatures exceeding
