摘要: Objective To investigate the role of bandage contact lenses (BCL) and topical steroids as risk factors for development microbial keratitis after epithelium-off corneal collagen cross-linking (CXL). Methods Analysis Patients undergoing CXL between February 2011 July 2017 were included. divided into two groups: those who treated postoperatively with a BCL, antimicrobial (group 1) received only until healing epithelial defect before introduction 2). Results 1273 eyes 964 patients Group 1 comprised 316 group 2 957 eyes. There no significant differences in presence persisting haze or scarring groups (p=0.57). Microbial occurred nine (0.71% eyes) eight (0.83%) (one case was bilateral) out Staphylococcus aureus cultured from scrapes seven (77.8%) cases contiguous sites cases. All (incidence=2.85%) none (p Conclusion The use BCL prior to epithelium is factor keratitis. S. most common micro-organism likely originate an endogenous site. Not using delaying significantly reduce developing without increasing persistent haze.
