Knowledge, Attitudes, and Behaviors Related to HIV and AIDS among Female College Students in Taiwan

摘要: Our purpose was to assess the knowledge and attitudes, source of HIV AIDS information, behaviors related among female college students in Taiwan explore factors associated with attitudes Taiwan. We employed a descriptive cross-sectional design. Using mail survey, investigators collected data from convenience sample 99 undergraduate at 4-year university The self-administrated questionnaire included demographic International Questionnaire—Chinese Version. study revealed that majority respondents (68%) were sexually active last year. Findings women had more overall compared those who not active. Overall, findings significant number participants aware facts held many myths about transmission AIDS. Accurate information is first step preventing spread this epidemic. Ideally, fight against should involve family, education system, mass media, society large; however, lack necessary knowledge, values, skills often results ineffective inconsistent prevention programs.
