We overview efficacy data for three approaches, namely microbicides, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), vaccination; review factors associated with differential acceptability uptake of these methods; suggest optimize effectiveness dissemination combination approaches. A narrative was conducted highlighting key PrEP, an vaccination summarizing each Recommendations integration combined approaches are provided. To date, microbicides have demonstrated limited HIV. However, PrEP has in reducing incident diverse array influences both hypothetical willingness actual usage method. Strategies effectively evaluate urgently needed.
