摘要: Monitoring of pest presence and population development in the crop during season is essential for integrated management. Although many tools, instance coloured sticky traps, have been developed, full advantage available information rarely taken into account decision-making. The reasons behind include high workload practice but also poorly studied relationships between trap catches populations crop. Here, we investigate whether commercially traps can be used as tool to monitor densities a pest–predator system glasshouse tomato. response Macrolophus pygmaeus (Rambur) (Hemiptera, Miridae) blue yellow was tested laboratory experiments. results indicate that M. pygmaeus monitored equally well with both colours. number trapped insects showed good correlation on Under growing conditions, more were compared traps. However, due known preference Trialeurodes vaporariorum (Westwood) Aleyrodidae), should combined monitoring.
