摘要: The occurrence of local and systemic cell-mediated immunity (CMI) in swine against transmissible gastroenteritis (TGE) virus, a coronavirus that infects the epithelial cells small intestine swine, has been investigated. Leukocyte suspensions prepared from intestinal lamina propria (LP) spleen were each incubated with without inactivated TGE virus. supernatants these cultures tested for presence macrophage migration inhibition factor (MIF) by indirect MIF test using guinea pig peritoneal exudate as source macrophages. All serologically negative antibodies (i.e., unexposed to virus) also production lymphocytes both sources. In 10 animals given virus subcutaneously, splenic was significantly greater (p less than or equal 0.01) LP lymphocytes, 9 negligible (percentage 3%).
