摘要: NKG2D ligands (NKG2DLs) mark malignant cells for recognition by natural killer (NK) and cytotoxic T lymphocytes via the activating immunoreceptor NKG2D. This led to hypothesis that NKG2DLs play a critical role in tumor immune surveillance. The human MICA MICB are expressed on tumors of epithelial origin vivo. For other recently described set NKG2DLs, UL16-binding proteins (ULBPs), expression vivo is as yet undefined. In this study we investigated function leukemia using panel newly generated NKG2DL-specific monoclonal antibodies. We report from patients variously express MIC ULBP molecules cell surface with most frequently detected. Patient expressing were lysed NK an NKG2D-dependent fashion. Sera patients, but not healthy donors, contained elevated levels soluble (sMICA). also detected increased sMICB patient sera established MICB-specific enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Reduction shedding may impair NKG2D-mediated surveillance leukemias. addition, determination sMICA be implemented prognostic parameter hematopoietic malignancies.
