摘要: An Otsuka Long-Evans Tokushima Fatty (OLETF) rat provides a useful model for studies to develop corneal wound healing drugs use in diabetic keratopathy resulting from type 2 diabetes mellitus. We investigated the effects of sericin on OLETF rats. Corneal wounds were prepared by removal epithelium and documented using TRC-50X. Sericin was instilled into eyes rats five times day following abrasion. The plasma levels glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol insulin 38 wk old significantly higher than normal control (LETO rats), rate slower rat, probably due suppression cell migration proliferation caused high glucose levels. with saline showed almost complete 72 h after epithelial On other hand, instillation has potent effect promoting size reduction at 48 may be an effective safe drug promote keratopathy.
