摘要: Cytology forms an integral part of the multidisciplinary and multimodality approach required for diagnosis pancreatic lesions. Pancreatic fine needle aspiration cytology specimens may be obtained percutaneously under radiological guidance or via endoscopic ultrasound guidance. Sample preparation methods are discussed, since high-quality preparations essential in facilitating diagnostic assessment. An to evaluation cases is outlined, features contaminants from sampling route described. lesions usefully divided into cystic solid entities. Interpretation samples includes consideration biochemical analysis cyst fluid. The cytological most commonly encountered non-mucinous cysts described, followed by discussion challenging interpretation mucinous cysts, including grading atypia. Solid separately discussed as inflammatory neoplastic use immunohistochemistry outlined differential endocrine neoplasms, acinar cell carcinoma, solid-pseudopapillary neoplasm, secondary involvement pancreas malignancy also discussed. This chapter bile duct brushing with description seen benign, reactive, malignant brushings.
