摘要: The manufacturing of low loss chalcogenide glasses (ChGs) for optoelectronic applications is ultimately defined by the concentration impurities present in starting materials or imparted via processing. We describe a rapid method purifying metallic As2Se3 glass where oxide reduction correlated to optical and physical properties. Specifically, As-O enhances glass’ dual-band transparency proportional extent (13-fold reduction) reduction, accompanied change density hardness associated with changes matrix bonding. A significant modification index LWIR Abbe number reported highlighting impact purification has on material dispersion control required designs.
