摘要: The transparency of trees is the most important indicator for a forest health assessment. This paper presents an efficient method calculating crown coefficient from tree binary images. based on automated quantification deep indentation, macro-hole and micro-hole densities. Circular structuring elements are introduced, among other things, to automatically find significant biological size. symmetric convex hull smoothed contour defined delineate reference areas necessary evaluate above-mentioned Statistical thresholds proposed eliminate human operator subjectivity, especially in identification anatomical such as soft crown-indentations or macro micro crown-holes. A point-wise map produced better appreciate origin visible skylight crown. density calculated 0.1-to-0.5 points, 0.5-to-1 points. We finally opt weighting above three densities with regard importance symptoms they describe more relevant coefficient. comparative study several full-size half-size images showed that our similar overall DSO less sensitive scale reduction.
