摘要: Although the appearance of coloured chlorophyll degradation products higher plants is well known, knowledge about such compounds produced and released particularly by planktonic algae still limited. Colourless conditioned media (CM) obtained from autotrophic cultures unicellular green alga Desmosdemus subspicatus turn red after acidification. The accumulation pigments in medium growth rate were inversely correlated. red, crude solution isolated CM dialysis ion exchange chromatography, next purified means high-performance liquid appeared to be a mixture three with characteristic UV/VIS absorption maxima near 330 505 nm. Electrospray ionization (ESI) mass spectrometry analysis revealed that molecular most polar abundant compound was 637 Da masses two other ones 641 607 Da. Addition 15 N isotope culture subsequent measurements occurrence four nitrogen atoms per each molecule. data suggest algal-conditioned are compounds, production which depends on light intensity, mainly during stationary phase growth.
