摘要: The generally accepted hypothesis for the pathogenesis of alcoholic liver disease (ALD) is two-hit model, which proposes that fat accumulation in increases sensitivity to a second hit leads inflammatory cell damage. In this study we evaluated effects Magnolia officinalis (MO), contains honokiol and magnolol as primary pharmacological components, eradicate fatty rats fed an ethanol diet. vitro studies showed MO was able protect RAW 264.7 cells from ethanol-induced production tumor necrosis factor-alpha, reactive oxygen species, superoxide anion radicals; activation NADPH oxidase; subsequent death. We also investigated therapeutic on Lieber-DeCarli diet-fed rats. treatment last 2 weeks feeding completely reversed all serum, hepatic parameters, changes. increased maturation sterol regulatory element-binding protein-1c by inhibited with MO. Therefore, may be promising candidate development agent ALD.
