摘要: OBJECTIVE To determine the value of supine heart rate as a marker sympathetic tone by assessing, in large group subjects, relationships between this parameter and two other indices activity, plasma norepinephrine nerve traffic. PATIENTS AND METHODS We studied 243 subjects aged 50.0+/-12.1 years (mean +/- SD). Of these, 38 were normotensive healthy controls, 113 had untreated essential hypertension, 27 obese normotensives 65 congestive failure. In each subject, over 10 min period, we measured mean arterial pressure (Finapres), (electrocardiogram), venous (high-performance liquid chromatography) efferent postganglionic muscle activity (microneurography at peroneal nerve). RESULTS whole study group, was correlated with both (r = 0.32, P < 0.0001) 0.38, 0.0001). This also case failure considered separately. Heart values greater patients than controls (75.1+/-13.0 78.2+/-13.0 versus 69.2+/-11.6 beats/min; 0.05 0.001, respectively), (362.7+/-202 400.3+/-217 230.4+/-126 pg/ml; 0.01 respectively) (44.1+/-14.7 55.3+/-14.3 27.8+/-11.0 bursts/min; 0.001 for both). contrast, hypertensive no significant relationship found these three activity. Furthermore, hypertensives, not increased, variance traffic, which (36.2+/-10.0 bursts/min, 0.001). CONCLUSIONS These data suggest that can be regarded intersubject differences tone, is general population those cardiovascular diseases. Its purpose limited, however, limitations may more evident hypertension conditions such obesity
