摘要: Background: Advanced ambulance service (Emergency Medical Services/EMS) is considered to be an integral part of emergency medical care as the first assets responding emergencies and disasters in prehospital setting most developed countries. Objectives: The aim this study was evaluate current situation Shiraz’s EMS by comparing data obtained during two different time periods. Materials Methods: This a retrospective analytic comparative which from Shiraz oneyear periods (21st March 2011 20th 2012 22nd September 1999 21st 2000) were compared. Furthermore, these also compared with available Gothenburg’s (2010) Results: During performed 84084 missions trauma cases common [39282 (46.7%)]. cause road traffic accidents (RTA) (27257; 76.5%). Near 56% all patients transported hospitals; some 47% ambulances 8.8% private cars. Around 36.2% received definitive treatment at scene. While there increase response evacuation times, number deaths scene before arrival decreased. Conclusions: Although has expanded last decade mortality rate decreased, RTArelated cases, along time, increased. More than one third could dismissed directly Standardized triage protocols are needed improve activity.
