摘要: Abstract Hepatic DNA, RNA, protein and p -nitroanisole O -demethylase, aniline hydroxylase, nonspecific carboxylesterase, bromosulphophthalein-glutathione (BSP-GSH) conjugating enzyme -nitrophenol UDPglucuronyl transferase activities were measured in young Wistar male rats which had received intraperitoneal injections (50 mg/kg) of biphenyl Aroclors 1016, 1221, 1232, 1242, 1248, 1254 1260, dissolved peanut oil, for 3 consecutive days assayed 96 h after the last injection. Biphenyl all caused same degree enhancement BSP-GSH enzyme. Decreased DNA content, increased RNA content other enzymatic related to percent weight chlorine chlorobiphenyl composition Aroclors. More marked effects observed with highly chlorinated Aroclor 1254, 1260 mixtures contained predominantly tetra-, penta-, hexa-, higher-chlorinated biphenyls.
