Unusual abscesses in perforating colorectal cancer

摘要: Perforating colorectal carcinomas may be complicated by abscess formation. If unchecked, the subsequently extend to a number of sites thus requiring emergency medical attention. The cases five such patients treated at Massachusetts General Hospital are reported. Sepsis spread in short period time over considerable area anatomic spaces as retroperitoneal space. Recognition source difficult. At times, accompanied subcutaneous emphysema. Prompt diagnosis and elimination sepsis lifesaving.
