摘要: In this work, the feasibility of sterilizing a water suspension poly-3-hexylthiophene nanoparticles (P3HT-NPs) is investigated using ionizing radiation, either γ-rays or high-energy electrons (e-beam). It found that regardless irradiation source, size, polydispersity, aggregation stability, and morphology NPs are not affected by treatment. Furthermore, impact radiation on physicochemical properties at different absorbed doses (10-25 kGy) dose rates (kGy time-1 ) evaluated through spectroscopic techniques. The results indicate delivering high radiations (25 rate, is, kGy s-1 , as achieved e-beam irradiation, preserves characteristics polymeric NPs. Differently, same but delivered lower h-1 attained γ-source, can modify polymer. Sterility tests an 10 kGy, with e-beam, already sufficient for effective sterilization colloidal reducing endotoxin content. Finally, irradiated doses, exhibit cytocompatibility cell internalization in human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells prepared under aseptic conditions.
