摘要: Overweight and obesity are major health problem in today’s society, where the western diet a sedentary lifestyle has been suggested as primary causes. Lifestyle changes, such introduction of healthier increased physical activity, should be considered first step management obesity. However, many patients struggle to lose weight with these types interventions. For patients, pharmaceutical surgical treatments may an option. The most commonly used approaches for aim induce loss by creating functional exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. Pancreatic enzymes crucial digestion macronutrients. Thus, targeting enzymes, absorption nutrients will reduced. Although treatment strategies usually show good results terms loss, they associated nutritional metabolic complications. It is therefor great importance that both medical doctors patient well informed about risks come various therapies.
