摘要: Several solutions have been proposed for mobility management in IP based heterogeneous networks, working at different protocol levels, from layer 2 up to application level. In order take the handover decision, many require monitor performance of networks which mobile device is connected. Measuring physical or link level on a given wireless access does not provide reliable indication perceived service when flows are handed over that network. It therefore needed measurements level, (bidirectional) path Mobile Host an intermediate node handling even remote Correspondent Host. Gathering such timely, effective and efficient way easy task. this paper we show naive approach using active highly CPU intensive. This would severely impact battery usage Hosts scale if nodes involved. On contrary implementation Linux kernel has very low usage. use batteries can be achieved monitoring thousands towards Hosts. Finally discuss how combining passive could further improve solution.
