Challenges related to analysis of protein spot volumes from two-dimensional gel electrophoresis as revealed by replicate gels

摘要: Assumptions that need to be considered prior statistical analysis of protein spot volumes from two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE) data are studied using replicate gels the same sample. The most important observation is tables 2-DE images contain a large number missing values, which not consistent with presence or absence proteins. This implies both loss information and problems for subsequent analysis. Challenges viewed in light multiple comparisons multivariate
