摘要: Abstract Emission inventories are the fundamental official data on atmospheric emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases at a variety spatial temporal scales worldwide. This study makes use direct CO2 emission measurements made with eddy covariance technique over completely urbanized area, no confounding effect vegetation, where mostly controlled by natural gas combustion processes road traffic. Objectives are: i) to validate top-down spatially temporally disaggregated yearly, monthly, weekly hourly time scales; ii) quantify improvement achieved in when replacing built-in disaggregation proxies customized based local traffic consumption. We demonstrate that overall performance inventory yearly scale is rather good an 3.08 g CO2 m−2 h−1 against measured 3.21 ± 0.12 g CO2 m−2 h−1. When disaggregating annual emissions, agreement between observations always significantly improves using proxies, 47% (from 0.70 0.37 g CO2 m−2 h−1 RMSE) monthly scale, 26% 0.58 0.43 g CO2 m−2 h−1 32% 1.26 0.85 g CO2 m−2 h−1 RMSE), scale. The validity this analysis goes beyond since used mimic intensity specific processes, therefore species emitted same as CO2, would benefit from improved parameterization shown here. These results indicate effort should be put into developing than national data, can better site dependent behaviors.
