摘要: A program was established for the DOE Office of Environmental Management (EM) to evaluate factors that are anticipated affect waste glass reaction during repository disposal, especially in an unsaturated environment typical what may be expected proposed Yucca Mountain site. This report covers progress FY 1995 on following tasks: (1) Tests ongoing and compare reactivity fully radioactive glasses with having same compositions except absence radionuclides under conditions representative a high-level environment. Data from these tests will used effect corrosion behavior determine disposition as corrodes. Static dissolution being conducted several Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF) West Valley Demonstration Project (WVDP) glasses.
