摘要: When a forward-moving protozoan collides with mechanical obstacle at its anterior end, it moves backward for while, then resumes forward movement in direction different from that before the collision. Thus protozoans avoid obstacles standing their way order to continue locomotion. The transient locomotor response has been termed an avoiding reaction (Jennings, 1906).
