摘要: BACKGROUND The effect of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) on the stability ‘Cuello Dama Blanco’ (CDB), Negro’ (CDN) and ‘San Antonio’ (SA) figs during post-harvest cold storage was evaluated by using three different films with a diverse number microperforations (diameter, o = 100 µm): M10 (16 holes), M30 (five holes) M50 (three holes). A macroperforated film used as control holes, 9 mm). Gas composition, weight loss, percentage disorder, microbial counts physico-chemical parameters were monitored for 21 days. Furthermore, sensory quality also evaluated. RESULTS MAP has allowed extension distribution time cultivars figs, minimising loss delaying pathological disorders related to endosepsis, smut, souring. Of cultivars, batch (one hole per 50 mm) showed best efficiency in terms delay decay, although found be suitable especially CDB cultivar. CONCLUSION MAP is useful tool extend storability optimal properties CDN SA days 14–17 CDB. © 2015 Society Chemical Industry
