摘要: Background. Schoolchildren spend several hours at school every day, where they must take their insulin injections and are running the risk of hypoglycaemia. The level of teachers’ knowledge about how to deal with diabetic children is unknown. Meanwhile young diabetics’ health often depends on appropriate facilities and correct course action in life-threatening situations. The aim study was evaluate of primary school teachers Lubelskie Province, Poland, about hypoglycaemia determine educational needs necessary ensure correct management hypoglycaemia by teachers. Material methods. took form a 27-item audit survey. questionnaire completed by 200 teachers of randomly selected primary Lubelskie Province, Poland. Results. were an average 40.05 ± 9.5 years old had worked profession for 15.4 9.1 years. 26% reported that taught children diabetes mellitus, 46% whom said knew how operate a glucose meter. 32.7% not familiar with the symptoms 76.9% could give blood glucose levels indicating 42.3% did not know help a hypo-glycaemic child. 53.7% knew what glucagon used for, but only 23.1% knew when glucagon should be given a mere 15.4% give glucagon. 8% all witnessed hypoglycaemia a child.
