摘要: Two new species are described from Mexican amber (15–20 Ma): Cenocephalus tenuis Peris and Solorzano Kraemer sp. nov. Tesserocerus simojovelensis Cenocephalus, originally as living in Central South America then fossils Early to Middle Miocene amber, is noted morphologically indistinguishable Mitosoma, endemic Madagascar. Thus, we consider that a close taxonomic relationship exists, even if they not the same genus. New evidence of already Platypodinae (Tesserocerini) Dominican ambers (15–20 Ma) differences between those discussed, complementing original descriptions. The paleobiogeography Mitosoma analyzed, which strongly supports hypothesis colonization Afrotropical Madagascar prior via sea currents. Hymenaea was interpreted resin producers. Based on analysis fossil current distribution such plants, our considers beetle dispersion occurred with Hymenaea, possibly its host plant.
