摘要: We present Expanded Very Large Array (EVLA) and Arecibo observations of two lensed submillimeter galaxies at z ~ 2.5, in order to search for redshifted 22.235 GHz water megamaser emission. Both SMM J14011+0252 J16359+6612 have multi-wavelength characteristics consistent with ongoing starburst activity, as well CO line emission indicating the presence warm molecular gas. Our do not reveal any evidence H2O either target, while lensing allows us obtain deep limits luminosities, (3σ) case J14011+0252, J16359+6612, assuming widths 80 km s–1. for, subsequent nondetection of, strongly rich gas dust suggests that such is likely be common within unlensed population high-redshift galaxies. use recent detection strong quasar, MG J0414+0534 = 2.64 make predictions future EVLA C-band surveys hosting active galactic nuclei.
