摘要: Abstract Understanding and managing groundwater resources requires the integration of large amounts high quality data from different sources. With recent advances in GIS, storage, web-based applications, visualisation technologies, management has entered a new phase. Currently Australia (like many other countries), hydrological are collected managed by agencies, scattered various formats locations, cannot be easily accessed public. This paper elaborates on overall process developing system support unified framework for collection management. is to facilitate access dispersed collections data. The goal under development provide platform collecting, storing, sharing monitoring within larger network providers end users (e.g. researchers, field site managers, public). We describe architecture, open source tools, technologies used implementation. proposed flexible, accommodating types sources, can expanded include sites. Experience throughout project demonstrates that ongoing communication among developers, essential help resolve some technical/implementation problems linguistic ambiguities may arise automation process.
