摘要: Abstract Municipalities face considerable challenges implementing source water protection strategies, a key component of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). In Quebec (Canada), these have further increased with the implementation new regulation concerning withdrawals and that requires mandatory watershed-scale management. The integration spatially-referenced land use data source-to-tap quality is crucial step for (SWP). This information provided by several stakeholders who different sources structures are not always compatible. main objective this article was to test improve management system integrate reliable required estimate vulnerability. offers flexible collection sharing software platform enhanced international metadata requirement-based standards. We applied first steps regulatory requirement (SWP) in Province Quebec, Canada, based on case study municipality supplied surface source. focus three protection: (1) Description intake; (2) Delimitation – Source Protection Area; (3) Characterization experimented two faced managers responsible applying (i) management; (ii) validation.
