摘要: Whole-genome sequencing has become a powerful and informative approach for determining the genetic basis of known bacterial properties, predicting new enabling post-genomic tools. However, genome annotation are most useful in context comparative genomic evolutionary analysis, which allows determination phylogenetic relationships between extant organisms, provides insights into evolution different biological systems, sheds light on processes accounting organismal diversity. Genome sequence information is currently available 20 species Planctomycetes, Verrucomicrobia, Lentisphaerae as well number chlamydial species. In this chapter, we show how can be employed to infer molecular mechanisms underlying important ecological, physiological, characteristics these bacteria address general questions regarding PVC superphylum.
